1990 Ibanez GB-12
GB guitar 12th anniversary
In limited production, GB-12 guitars were made only in 1991-92. Twelve(12) in the model name was to celebrate 12th anniversary of the legendary George Benson series.
When Ibanez approached Benson, his requirements to the signature guitar were compact body, floating pickups, and thicker top absorbing feedback. Here in the limited edition GB12, the body is even thicker by 1/2' than GB10. Other specs feature 22 frets, 12th fret width 57mm, 1st fret thickness 20mm, and 12th fret thickness 22mm, which is same as GB10 and 1mm shorter than GB30. The body thickness is better explained in the attached photo below.
Wondering how many units of this guitar has been made, I myself dialed the manufacturer Hoshino Gakki Nagoya head office. Unfortunately they don't publish the number of production, but they indicated the success of GB12 model was followed by GB100 which has the same specs.

Speaking of the guitar condition, small dents found on the neck, hardware oxidation, chips around lower left body and nuts. I don't mind the cosmetics and am currently taking this baby to my weekly jazz gig, but in case you may want to do some retouch, here I offer the lowest price ever possible for this rare vintage.
